Senior Manager – £90,000 basic – Midlands
This role is for a Senior manager to join an established teacher supply agency based in the East Midlands. This role will develop into an operational manager position.
This is a key appointment and you will be positioned within the senior management team. You will be working directly with the business owner initially starting in their Head office.
There will be plenty of room to bring your creative ideas to the table, you will enjoy a high level of autonomy as you will be a key part of guiding the business forward.
The role attracts a salary of up to £90,000 basic with an OTE of £120,000 with equity options.
The role has come about due to phenomenal growth within the company, they have rapidly grown to an ahead count of 25 people producing more than 2000 teacher supply days a week across two locations. This is split evenly between Primary, Secondary, and SEND supply
The role requires somebody who has experience managing multi-site locations with management skills that can effectively communicate through all levels of the business
They work in a relaxed environment, with casual dress, no hard KPIs, and an office mascot dog in each branch!
You must be a people “person” This is an agency that is far removed from a corporate company, they have a unique setup unlike any other education agency which gives people clear roles and responsibilities
Initially, the role will involve managing 1 branch and helping train and develop up to 12 new people. The training will involve training trainees to become full 360 recruiters. During this time you will have the chance to see how the company works and operates.
The role will quickly progress to an operational position covering both locations, you will then be heavily involved in producing a road map of how the company can transition to the next level.
There is a dedicated team that works weekends and evenings filling any bookings and registering any candidates that come through in this period giving you an edge over most other recruitment agencies.
You will be involved in all areas of the business including:
- Helping prepare forecasts and profit projections
- helping run the company when the owner is away
- Hands-on business development
- Bringing in new ideas
- I.T / website enhancements
- Training staff
- Legal
- Compliance
- Overseeing two branches
- Motivational and incentive creation
- Recruiting for internal staff
- Holding high level with MATs, Trust Academies, and high-volume clients
- Establishing operational tasks, policies, and procedures for company employees
- Reviewing existing operations and finding areas for development and growth
- Evaluating members of staff and enacting disciplinary proceedings, where needed
- Hiring outside managers or promoting new leaders from within
- Providing opportunities for staff training, development, and advancement within the company
- Upholding company policies and values while leading by example at all times
There is a mix of administrative, financial, and leadership skills required for the role.
