The Opportunity

Our client is a well-established and highly respected business within education recruitment. They already have a successful Secondary division and are now looking for an experienced recruiter to lead it into the next stage of growth.

This role could suit an established Secondary Manager or Team Leader. It could also suit a high-performing Senior Consultant ready to step into management. In either case, you will take ownership of a small team with clear scope to expand it further.

Why Join This Business?

This is a genuine leadership opportunity within a well-run company. You will have the autonomy to shape the direction of the division while benefiting from strong internal support.

The culture is a major selling point. The team is friendly, experienced and professional. There is no politics and no unpleasant atmosphere. Instead, you will be surrounded by capable people who enjoy what they do and work well together.

Support and Infrastructure

You will not be expected to do everything alone. A strong back-office and compliance function is already in place, so candidate clearances are handled quickly and efficiently.

Everything is managed in-house rather than offshore. That means less delay and a smoother process for both recruiters and candidates, allowing the team to stay focused on billing, relationships and growth.

Flexibility and Working Environment

The business offers a flexible, adult approach to the working day. Whether that means using the subsidised gym membership, joining the tennis team, going out for lunch or heading to the pub, there is trust and flexibility around how you manage your time. If you take a longer break, you simply make the time up later.

Alongside this, the company offers hybrid working with 1 day working from home each week and beautiful offices, giving you the benefits of a supportive office environment with added flexibility.

The Role

  • Lead and develop a successful Secondary Education recruitment team
  • Drive growth and expansion across the division
  • Manage, mentor and develop consultants
  • Build strong client and candidate relationships
  • Help shape strategy, direction and team performance
  • Maintain a positive, high-performing culture

What We Are Looking For

  • A strong track record within Secondary Education recruitment
  • Experience as a Manager or Team Leader, or the credibility and ability to step up from Senior Consultant level
  • Proven billing success and strong market knowledge
  • The ability to lead from the front and develop others
  • The confidence to take ownership of a growing team
  • A professional, positive and team-focused approach

Salary and Package

In return, our client offers a basic salary of £50,000 to £75,000, alongside an uncapped commission structure of up to 15%.

You will also receive hybrid working, strong operational support, genuine autonomy and the opportunity to play a key role in the continued growth of a successful Secondary division.
