This is a role targeted at current UK Medical (Doctors) recruiters who have a desire to relocate to Sydney Australia!

You must have experience supplying specialist Doctors in the UK to the NHS and, or, private hospitals. In addition, you must have one of the following (A) 5 years of recruitment experience or (B) 2 years of recruitment experience with a relateable degree (i.e. Business / HR etc).

This Sydney-based agency will offer full sponsorship which will lead to permanent residency. With that in mind this role is only open to people who want to make a permanent move to Australia.

This will be a very exciting opportunity for somebody to start a new life and a career in sunny Australia.

This established Medical agency has been supplying Doctors for over 10 years, and several previously UK based recruiters have joined them over this time

The agency is on all the required frameworks and PSLs to supply to all medical facilities across Australia

They adopt a rigorous process that ensures they deliver the most qualified Doctors across all specialities, from junior Doctors to specialists.

They partner with a wide range of healthcare providers, including GP clinics,  hospitals, and medical facilities, and they also have a strong presence in over 300 remote communities.

The reason why they are looking for UK-based recruiters, and are willing to invest so much in relocating them to Australia, is for several reasons. UK recruiters are naturally very resilient, they have worked in extremely competitive, fast-paced environments, come through a very hard COVID period, have experience working with multiple clients and candidates across the UK, and have a natural, focused ethos. The owner and founder has himself relocated from the UK to Australia over a decade ago.

The office is located in a beautiful part of Sydney, you will be working 8.30 am – 5.00 pm with the option of working from home after a set time.

You will have help with the relocation from a dedicated immigration consultant, they will arrange the visa, help with sorting accommodation, bank accounts, utilities etc

This role is for a medical recruitment agency that supplies Doctors across the whole of Australia. All the Doctors are placed into locum roles, all the Doctors are currently based and living in Australia. The Doctors you will be supplying will be specialist Doctors such as:

  • Anaesthesia: Administering anaesthesia for surgical and other medical procedures.
  • Clinical Oncology: Treating and managing patients with cancer using radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
  • Clinical Radiology: Using imaging techniques to diagnose and treat medical conditions.
  • Emergency Medicine: Providing immediate care for patients with life-threatening illnesses and injuries.
  • General Practice (GP): Treating common medical conditions and referring patients to specialists as needed.
  • Intensive Care Medicine: Managing Critically Ill Patients.
  • Obstetrics and Gynaecology: Providing care related to pregnancy, childbirth, and female reproductive health.
  • Paediatrics: Providing medical care for infants, children, and adolescents.
  • Psychiatry: Diagnosing and treating mental health disorders.
  • Surgery: Performing surgical procedures to treat various medical conditions.
  • Cardiology: Diagnosing and treating heart conditions.
  • Dermatology: Diagnosing and treating skin conditions.
  • Neurology: Diagnosing and treating neurological disorders.
  • Endocrinology: Diagnosing and treating hormonal disorders.
  • Gastroenterology: Diagnosing and treating digestive system disorders.
  • Haematology: Diagnosing and treating blood disorders.
  • Oncology: Treating cancer.
  • Nephrology: Diagnosing and treating kidney disorders.
  • Respiratory Medicine: Diagnosing and treating respiratory conditions.
  • Rheumatology: Diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal disorders.
They have a vast database of candidates that can be accessed and assigned through a bespoke CRM specifically built for their business. This CRM is also designed to drastically cut down on your admin and allow you to work as seamlessly as possible.
The Australian market is very different from the UK, it is much easier to talk to decision-makers, in fact, they are pleased to hear from you and welcome visits and setting up terms to supply.
You will have an abundance of cleared candidates all populated on their CRM (new website currently under construction). The earning potential is uncapped with most consultants earning more in commission than their basic salary.
The basic salary is a minimum $70,000AUS – $150,000AUS  this is negotiable. You will also have a superannuation of 11.5% + commission of up to 25%
It is a very candidate-led market and as such, you need to be actively picking up the phone and ‘speccing’ out candidates to new and existing clients. This is not an account management role you need to be very proactive in your approach as a 360 recruiter. Your desk will be very warm with amazing earning potential.
The interview process will begin with Fox Search, so please have an up-to-date CV detailing your career history, yearly GP generated in each role, types of candidates and clients you dealt with, and any successes or special mentions you have had.
Please also give thought to the reasons why you want to move to Sydney, have you considered leaving friends and family behind (you can take your spouse and dependent children as they can be included on VISA), do you have savings, do you need to sell or rent out a property etc?
We will also ask you to send a cover letter detailing why you want to move to Australia and why you would be a valid employee of this agency
If this part of the application is successful we will arrange a video call with the agency owner, and then if that goes well, a video call with some of the senior team in Sydney several of whom have relocated from the UK.
To conclude the interview process, there will be a Roche Martin emotional intelligence assessment
If you prefer you can contact Aaron McCluskey or Sarah McCluskey directly through LinkedIn
