Permanent Education Recruitment Consultant / Manager – Nottingham

Location: Nottingham
Salary: From £30,000 basic, depending on experience
Specialism: Permanent Education Recruitment
Market: All education sectors
Opportunity: Build and develop a permanent recruitment division

Fox Search is working with an established education recruitment agency in Nottingham looking for an experienced recruiter to take ownership of its permanent recruitment business.

This is an opportunity for somebody who enjoys permanent recruitment, has strong business development skills and wants the freedom to build something around their own experience and strengths.

The agency already works with schools across the region, both through the GCA framework and directly outside the framework, providing an existing client base alongside opportunities to develop new relationships.

The Opportunity

Unlike a traditional recruitment vacancy, there isn’t a fixed job specification or desk waiting for you.

The role will be built around the person they hire.

The agency is open to experienced permanent education recruiters from across the education sector, including primary, secondary, SEND, further education and leadership recruitment.

You’ll take responsibility for developing the agency’s permanent recruitment offering, with ownership of permanent business generated through both new and existing school relationships.

Importantly, all permanent recruitment business would sit with you, including opportunities arising from schools already working with the agency.

You’ll have the freedom to develop your market, build relationships and establish a successful permanent recruitment operation with the backing of an existing education recruitment business.

An Established Client Base to Work With

The agency already has relationships with schools through the GCA framework and through direct supply arrangements.

This provides an opportunity to develop permanent recruitment business within an existing network, rather than having to build every relationship from scratch.

You’ll also be encouraged to develop new clients and identify opportunities across the wider education market.

Although your focus will be permanent recruitment, the business wants somebody who understands the value of offering schools a complete recruitment service.

If a client has temporary staffing requirements, you’d be expected to introduce those opportunities to the relevant consultants within the agency.

Temporary placements would not form part of your commission entitlement, but you would retain ownership of the permanent recruitment business.

What They’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in permanent education recruitment.
  • Strong business development and client relationship skills.
  • A good understanding of the education recruitment market.
  • Confidence in developing new business and identifying opportunities within existing accounts.
  • The ability to manage the permanent recruitment process from initial vacancy through to placement.
  • A commercial approach and the ambition to develop a successful permanent recruitment offering.

The agency is open to discussing the opportunity with experienced consultants, senior consultants and managers.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

  • Basic salary from £30,000, depending on experience.
  • Ownership of the agency’s permanent education recruitment business.
  • Access to existing school relationships, including GCA and direct clients.
  • Freedom to develop your preferred education specialism.
  • Opportunity to build a permanent recruitment operation around your own strengths.
  • Support and infrastructure from an established education recruitment agency.
  • No rigid job specification or predetermined desk.
  • Scope to develop the role as the permanent business grows.

Interested?

If you’re an experienced permanent education recruiter looking for more ownership, autonomy and the opportunity to develop something long term, this could be worth a conversation.

The agency is interested in what you could bring to the business rather than trying to fit everybody into the same job description.
