About the Opportunity
This is a senior opportunity with an established, independently owned education recruitment agency that has built an excellent reputation within the Further Education market.
Unlike many larger recruitment businesses, this isn’t a corporate environment with layers of management, unnecessary meetings or constant KPI pressure. Experienced consultants are trusted to run their desks, manage their clients and build lasting relationships without being micromanaged.
Senior leadership is accessible, decisions are made quickly and success is recognised and rewarded.
An Established Desk Ready to Build On
You’ll inherit a well-established Further Education recruitment desk covering Yorkshire.
The agency already holds key Preferred Supplier List (PSL) agreements with colleges, universities and Further Education providers. The difficult work of securing those contracts has already been done, giving you immediate access to live vacancies and established client relationships.
There is an active candidate database, regular inbound enquiries and, quite simply, more live vacancies than there are consultants currently managing them.
This is not a cold desk. It’s an opportunity to step into an existing revenue stream with genuine potential for further growth.
Long-Term Recruitment Rather Than Daily Supply
The majority of placements are long-term assignments lasting between eight weeks and three months or more, alongside permanent recruitment.
This creates a more stable desk, stronger forecasting and more consistent billing than high-volume day-to-day supply recruitment.
Your Role
As a Senior Education Recruitment Consultant, you’ll focus on developing existing client relationships while expanding business across Yorkshire.
Responsibilities include:
- Building relationships with colleges, universities and Further Education providers.
- Meeting Heads of Learning Support, curriculum managers and senior decision-makers.
- Growing existing accounts while developing new opportunities.
- Recruiting lecturers, tutors and education professionals.
- Managing candidate pipelines from interview through to placement.
- Delivering outstanding service to both clients and candidates.
Technology and Support
The business has invested heavily in technology to allow consultants to spend more time recruiting and less time completing administration.
You’ll benefit from:
- A brand-new CRM system.
- Automated DBS and compliance tracking.
- Automated referencing.
- Access to all major recruitment job boards.
- Overseas recruitment support to assist candidate attraction.
- Strong internal infrastructure designed to maximise billing opportunities.
Hybrid Working and Culture
The role is based from the Manchester office with hybrid working available.
You’ll work:
- Three days in the office.
- Two days from home.
Office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am until 5:00pm.
There are no early starts or late finishes. The business understands work-life balance and many of the team have families. High performance is expected, but consultants are trusted to manage their workload like professionals.
Career Progression
Although this is a Senior Consultant role, there is genuine opportunity to progress into management.
The company has experienced exceptional growth and is already planning a move into larger Manchester offices to support further expansion.
The business has strong financial backing, ambitious growth plans and a clear commitment to developing its people.
