Secondary Education Recruitment Manager – Manchester £60,000
The role is for an education recruitment manager to join an established teacher supply agency
You will be working for a leading agency that supplies teachers and support staff to schools across the UK from their office in London
There is a young, forward-thinking, inclusive company with 40+ employees
The salary is up to £60,000 basic, negotiable depending on experience, plus commission
You will be starting a new branch in the Manchester area, ideally as part of a team
You can help decide on the office location. You will also be involved in building your team around you.
There will already be 150 – 200 days as a foundation for your new branch, this is due to the current business is being run by a team in London.
They have decided that a local team would best serve the Manchester market, it would add a personal touch, you can go on school visits, meet candidates face-to-face and deal with the needs of the branch locally
There will be a full and comprehensive handover from the team currently covering Manchester
This isn’t a typical recruitment position, as part of your role will be advising schools and demonstrating educational booking technology (Edtech) that they use when booking teachers. The tech also allows candidates to choose what assignments they want, update their availability, and decide from a choice of possibilities what roles and schools to work at
As a manager, you will lead from the front. You will be involved in budget forecasts, P&L, training, and staff development, and working alongside the Senior Management Team.
There is a full back-office support team covering administration, compliance, and HR
The role is hybrid, with 1 day a week working from home. Hours are 7- 5 with shorter, reduced hours during the school holidays.
There are a great deal of teacher supply agencies in Manchester, it’s a very competitive market, this agency offers something very different from typical agencies in Manchester with many USP’s that other agencies don’t have, allowing you to stick out and be noticed.
Part of your role will involve going on visits and demonstrating how the booking technology works with schools and candidates. It’s very intuitive and easy to pick up and can be used with a phone or laptop.
Once schools are accustomed to the tech, you will soon find your role becomes more account management as schools can search through available candidates, upload their recruitment needs, and have full control over the hiring process. Timesheets, compliance, documentation, and teacher references are all on the app.
The majority of your business will be built in the background by your school’s using the app.
This is a forward-thinking agency that is future-proofing its supply to schools. There are no KPI’s, and targets are unrealistic. You will be given a great deal of autonomy to run your team with support and guidance to help you be successful
For this role, you must have experience in education recruitment, no exceptions.
