This position is working for a Social care Recruitment agency based in Manchester

This is an established agency working specifically within the Social care sector.

Ideally, this role is for an experienced manager or Senior consultant looking for a Branch Manager opportunity.

The business is well placed within care and nursing with a strong compliance and administration team there to support the business.

This has always been a strong branch however though COVID a couple of people moved onto other sectors including the previous branch manager.

What the branch need is in needs is a strong manager that is able to drive a team and still enjoys the thrill of recruitment and success, its a really good opportunity for somebody to come in and put their own stamp on things. You will be supported by a regional manager that is very hands-on and offers practical help and guidance and you will have the autonomy to run the branch.

This may suit somebody that is currently working in a place where they don’t have as much autonomy as they would like or a place that’s only focused is making money over the importance of having solid relationships with clients and candidates or you may have been in the same place for a while and things have become stale and a fresh challenge excites you.

As a manager coming in you will inherit a small team with the headcount for additional people, the branch needs a nudge in the right direction to get to the very healthy numbers it had before, it will be a challenge for somebody but expectations are realistic and you will have all the tools and support needed.

The role is open to a non-billing manager, that’s ok but the commission scheme will be different, the agency will discuss and adjust it to be target-based (GM)

There is a culture within the business of billing managers and leading by example however the business is open to a non-billing manager if you can bring results and overall value to the business, however you want to run the branch it is very flexible.

We have been made aware that although there is no current working from home this is something they are more than prepared to look at especially if you have already demonstrated this throughout the various lockdowns.

Branch Manager

  • Salary negotiable up to £40,000 basic for the right candidate + commission
  • working hours 8.30 – 5.30
  • Attractive, uncapped two-pronged commission scheme based on 1.) Individual Desk Billing – Monthly and 2.) End of Year Overall Branch GM Performance against target (to be discussed)
  • Rebuild job within the branch but high performing billing manager can earn £20-30k commission on top of their basic.
  • For billers, the monthly commission scheme is 10% of all monthly billings (GM) with no threshold in Year 1.
  • Preferably somebody with experience in Temps in the Private Care & Nursing Homes / Supported Living Mental Health)
  • For BM, a proven track record of successful billing and management of a team that delivers in weekly GM in excess of £7k per week (£350k per annum) as a guideline
  • The ability to sell and do business development in this role is crucial, must be capable of driving sales and recruitment within the branch, if they aren’t billing they must be able to coach it.
  • Can grow the business by either motivating others to do it or doing it themselves or a combination of both.
  • Important is an individual that can lead and build a team, manage staff to targets whilst creating a fun working environment and develop people for the future.
  • They need to be aware that while there are warm leads and no shortage of business opportunities, the LIVE candidate base is currently stretched and needs significantly increasing for growth.
  • Candidates (so Carers, Support Workers and Nurses) are a commodity and you will need to sprout additional desks by re-engaging the database (816) and bringing in new candidates
  • Recruitment is all hands to the pump – everybody is responsible.

The type of character must be organised and confident in both selling and recruiting. Must be professional and respectful. Must be able to coach and develop without ruling with an iron fist. If you are a big biller that wants a stab at management you must foster a team and put others before yourself.

If you have colleagues you would like to bring with you they are open to this and can employ a team rather than an individual (you will also gain a referral fee for each person you bring)
