Regional Recruitment Trainer
This position is for a Regional training manager for an education recruitment agency with several branches across the UK
The role will involve working with the Senior management team to help train and continually develop new people coming into the business. You will also work closely with 7 branch managers to make sure a uniform way of working is adopted.
They have identified that far too often when people start a career in recruitment, they go to Head office on a training course for a couple of weeks and usually the only other training they get will be in branch with the odd training course.
This is an agency that wants to break the norm and truly invest, train, and develop its staff into the best recruiters they can be.
Part of your role will be delivering and consolidating a consistent training program throughout the company which will continue long after new employees have finished their training. You will also help the established recruiters to make slight changes to some of their processes and adopt new ones which will be rolled out company-wide.
Part of the role is to make sure there is consistency across the company, and do the good things right whilst dropping the bad things that aren’t. You won’t be walking into a mine filed as this is a very strong company with an excellent reputation and brand.
This role will require a certain amount of finesse as this role isn’t about micromanaging, you will build relationships with the branch managers and demonstrate that you are an asset to their branch, and you’re there to ease some of the pressure by helping to train develop and motivate their staff.
As in any company, there will always be certain branches that do exceptionally well in key areas so you will be in talks with the Directors and Regional sales manager to target these key strengths and implement them in other branches and monitor the impact.
You will be involved in regular managers meeting listening to what the managers want that would make things work better for them and looking at what training you could do to make things happen. During these meetings, you can discuss the positive things happening in each branch in more detail and discuss with the other managers how that could work in their branches.
This is an agency that thrives on letting people run with ideas and thoughts as it’s the people on the ground that do the day-to-day work so they are in the best position to know what works and what doesn’t work. You will need to pick up on the strengths and weaknesses of each branch in the company.
Along with working with the new recruits, the established consultants, and managers, you will work closely with the Director and regional sales managers, they will be your support, and everyone will know your name in the company!
This is an agency with a very different and unique way of doing recruitment. They have a strong identity ethos and way of working that isn’t driven by bottom-line profits.
This isn’t a typical trainer’s role and will be built around the right person. There are some non-negotiable requirements for this role. You must have a background in education recruitment the reason being is so you fully understand the role of the people you are helping and training as you can relate with them as you have done what they have done
We do not need a dictator or micromanager for this role as you will be there to complement the managers in the business, you are working for them to help them, and their branch do better and ultimately be more successful.
You do not need to be a current trainer to apply for this role, you could be somebody that wants to move away from recruitment sales or migrate into a more strategic role. So long as you have experience in education recruitment, can communicate well, and have the right attitude the rest can be taught.
