This is a position for an education recruitment regional manager for an agency that supplies teachers and support staff to Schools across the UK through a network of over 10 offices

This is an established agency that is very stable and secure and part of a larger group, over the last 3 years they have grown well above predictions and targets.

Due to the continued growth of this agency, they are looking to add an additional Regional Manager to the team who will be responsible for the South of the UK.

This role would be ideal for somebody currently at regional manager level or someone looking for the next step up in their career.

The role offers clear advancement beyond regional manger to “Head of mainstream” This will happen shortly after you have developed the branches in your area, the plan will be to define the current model from South, North and Central into two larger verticals covering the whole of the UK.

One vertical already established is “Head of SEND” and the other vertical will be “Head of mainstream” this will be a promotion with added responsibility for the whole of mainstream education across all UK branches. This role is designed to develop into the “head of mainstream” position so there will be no other people considered for that role apart from you.

Once you are promoted to head of mainstream you will have responsibility for over 10 branches across the UK, you will also look to strengthen market share with additional branches in the South pushing into London, areas of Essex, Kent, and the home counties.

Initially, as a regional manager you will take 2 branches under your wing with a total of 8 recruiters, one branch is doing exceptionally well whilst the other one needs some direction, focus, and getting back on track.

Projected forecasts for both branches have been adjusted allowing for a realistic and organic development with time to allow the regional manager coming in to put their own stamp on things which will take time to implement.

Part of your role will be to develop what you have, using your management, development, and training skills you will work with the branch managers to ensure you are getting the best out of the recruiters you have.

For a brief time, there will be a desk to look after which was vacated by a previous manager, this is normally outside the remit of a regional manager however this will show your leadership qualities and the fact you are humble enough to roll up your sleeves and put into practice what you are teaching. As mentioned, this is only for short time and you will hand it over once the branch is where it needs to be and you have identified where the business should go.

The Senior management is very linear, you will report to the Director who is very hands-on and is from an education recruitment background, decisions are made quickly and you will have a great deal of autonomy and trust, there will be regular meetings in which you are encouraged to share your thoughts and ideas.

This agency has a family feel to it, they understand how important it is to make everybody feel part of the team and as such don’t just award the top billers week in week out, they have other rewards and recognitions both individually and collectively as a group.

The company has quarterly social events along with annual trips abroad which have in the past included Monaco and Barbados.

The basic salary for this position is up to £60,000 with 1st year OTE + £15,000. Year 2 is where the OTE is predicted to rise dramatically in the region of + £50,000. Some WFH can also be negotiated.

This really is a fantastic opportunity for somebody that has the skills, experience, and foresight to see this as an exciting project with further career development down the line. It is a unique position that will require hard work reflected in results however the personal rewards will make it worthwhile.
