This is a role for a recruitment consultant to join an agency based in the city centre of Nottingham.

This is a unique role within the public sector space supplying to the various departments within local authorities

The positions you will fill are long term, interim and permanent across a defined geographical area.

It’s a typical 360° position so you will construct adverts, make calls, engage with candidates and clients. Visiting clients is strongly encouraged to develop and strong clients and candidate relationships.

As this is such a niche area of recruitment full ongoing training will be given both internally and from external sources.

The agency has a strong presence in their specialist fields and already occupy several PSl’s with several local authority councils, part of your role will be to increase current supply and permeate into other areas within each council.

Some of the specialist roles you will be recruiting for include: Housing officers, Project support managers, Finance officers, Planning managers, Support officers, social care managers, Transport managers, Heads of Adult and Childcare departments and many other mid – executive-level appointments.

You will be working in an office of around 15 people working within your own specialist pod.

Part of the role does require you to present and meet people at a senior level so you must be articulate, well presented and professional.

There is a very clear career progression within the company leading to a point where you can choose to go down a billing management role or continue as a top-level recruiter at the same level as a manager without the management responsibilities.

There is autonomy over your desk and over the years this agency has relaxed their KPI’s which are now used as a guideline. The result is what really matters and how you get there is down to you if you need support and help it will be offered.

The commission structure is generous and paid month and goes up in increments to 18%

This is a stable recruitment agency that is part of a group owned by one of the largest agencies in the UK meaning you will have access to many corporate benefits and rewards.

The interview process is usually 2 stages, an initial phone conversation followed by a face to face interview which will be competency-based, open and honest, there will be no need to do any role-playing and you will have the opportunity to ask plenty of questions.

The salary is very dependant on what level you go in at, of course with a larger salary there would be a greater expectation. There is room to negotiate so nothing is off the table.

Once you have passed probation you would be eligible to work flexi-time allowing you to come into work earlier or later.

If any applicants for this position are traveling in from areas such as Coventry, Birmingham or Leicester the is an option to work 2 – 3 days from home.
