Education Recruitment Sales Director – London
This is a position for a Sales Director to join an established education recruitment agency with branches in London, North West, East Midlands and the Home Counties. The position is based out of the London office however you will have a physical presence in the other 3 branches.
This is a senior appointment and you will be in a power position within the company only reporting directly to the Company Owner acting as their right-hand person.
The company has a very loyal and stable workforce, the staff are paid well, treated fairly and there is a very low staff turnover rate.
The type of person for this role must have a strong work ethic, be sales focused without being overbearing, be hungry and enthusiastic and able to command respect from the workforce.
You will oversee all aspects of sales which will include the following:
- Spearhead long term drives
- Run national competitions and encourage Branch Managers to run their own competitions at branch level
- Organise sales events
- Attend tenders and bids
- Sales training and development of staff
- Implement constructive KPI’s and targets (not in a micro-management style)
- Be involved with staff recruitment and retention
- Implementing business development strategies
- Driving a culture of accountability, delivery & reward
- Help Managers develop themselves and their staff
- Ensure quality of service is at the heart of everything the teams do
- Be involved with P&L
The role will require you to take ownership, be self-motivated and organised as you will pretty much be left to your own devices as the Owner wants to have a more passive role within the company.
There will be an EMI share incentive. Enterprise management Shares (EMI) were created by the government to allow employers to reward employees by vastly reducing any tax paid on the shares (as little as 10%), removing any need to pay National Insurance. In most cases the sale value of the shares will be far superior compared to the shares at the date of issue.
The Owner is looking at a 4-5-year plan before they sell their business and estimates that the shares initially issued to you will be worth in the region of £500,000.
The Owner is a great believer in giving back to the people who have helped to build the business and is looking to set aside a large financial settlement for those that have helped the business grow, the aim being for his employees to have enough capital to entirely pay of their mortgages.
The basic salary is up to £75,000 basic + incentives which can be discussed and negotiated. It is a “one-off” role so it is understood the overall package can be jointly discussed and put together. For the right person there is no real limitation as to what they could do to entice their perfect candidate.
For this role it is essential that you have education recruitment sales experience at a senior level.
