This is an opportunity to work for a specialist Education Recruitment agency based in Birmingham city centre.

The office is close to all public transport with parking available.

You’ll be working within a large team of specialist Recruiters that supply teachers and support staff to schools across Birmingham, Wolverhampton, and the surrounding areas.

Due to faster than expected growth, opportunities have become available for Primary, Secondary, and SEN desks.

The office environment is a relaxed and friendly open-plan space.

This agency has weathered the COVID pandemic and looked after their staff who all received full pay throughout and top-ups to cover lost commission.

As education recruitment has evolved over the years some agencies have taken autonomy away from their recruiters by imposing ever-increasing KPI’s and targets, this has lead to recruiters chasing call targets rather than running their desks how they know they should be run.

This will be an ideal role for somebody that wants the security of a large agency with the autonomy and feel of a smaller boutique agency.

There are several career development paths you can take with clear milestones in place so you know when you have hit “X” you will be promoted, have a salary or bonus, or if a manager receive an additional member of staff.

Education recruitment is a very robust sector although schools have been closed during most of the pandemic they are heavily using agencies again, they have healthy budgets which they haven’t spent whilst in lockdown.

Consultants are rewarded for their hard work with a commission scheme that goes up to 25%, if a consultant has a desk of 100 days a week the commission alone over 39 weeks would be £17,500 a year.

There are career development opportunities and people can quickly gain promotion based on performance and merit. You will also have the chance to take professional NVQ qualifications and have ongoing training.

All desks are warm to some degree, if they move means you would lose out on commission in your current role then guarantees can be put into place meaning you won’t lose out and have time to build your business up.

If you are coming from another education recruitment agency all covenants with your existing employer would be respected.

Although some lose KPI’s are in place they are only there as a guide, you won’t be expected to hit call targets or relationship with a client soured by expectations to repeatedly call them even if they have made it clear how and when they want to be contacted.

With this role, your career, your desk, and how you run it are placed in your hands. If you do need help and support your manager will give effective help and guidance. Good recruiters don’t need micromanaging they can be trusted to run their desks.

  • Basic salary up to up to £45,000
  • Guarantees put in place so you don’t miss out on commission
  • Roles open, Consultant, Senor consultant, Team leader/manager
  • Smart casual dress
  • Ongoing training and development
  • Non-corporate agency
  • Flexibility on your desk with a choice or geographical area and school type
  • Shorter working hours during school holidays
Applicants must have previous Recruitment experience to be considered.
If this sounds like the type of role and company that would be suited to you then apply today and one of our Consultants will be in touch with you shortly. All conversations are in the strictest confidence.
