Business Development Manager Hull £60,000 basic
This role is for a business development manager for a healthcare agency based in Humberside.
The salary is up to £60,000 basic (depending on experience) + bonus + commission
This will be a hybrid field / office-based role developing relationships with existing clients to upscale business and developing new relationships with new clients across a defined geographical area (although not limited)
Business is generated through 1st Tier on-framework and off framework supplying all types and levels of nurses and Allied healthcare staff with a keen desire to explore new areas of healthcare should you have experience in other parts of the healthcare sector.
You will work closely with the Senior management teams, Branch manager, and consultants in branch so experience of working with people at all levels is essential.
You will report to the board of Directors and have a mandate of a largely autonomous role within the organisation you will also work closely with all billing departments and support staff to understand the demand and the ability to obtain suitable candidates.
Part of your role will be to design and implement plans for bridging gaps maintaining current supply and identifying growth within the current sectors, cross-selling opportunities, and diversification into new areas.

The main responsibilities of the role will include:
- To develop and grow our client base through access to additional local and nationwide trusts under the Workforce Alliance and Health Trust Europe frameworks.
- To scale private healthcare organisations access and develop the private revenue stream
- To drive the diversification into additional healthcare specialties
- To review our current capability in comparison to the needs of our clients
- To identify the gaps in our portfolio and pipeline of candidates in comparison to current demand in all departments
- To work with the Head of BD and COO to develop a plan to bridge the gap and exceed the demand
- To identify business opportunities through relationship building, using direct and indirect methods of networking and communication
- Creating development plans, forecasting sales targets, and growth projections
- Liaising with colleagues to develop sales and marketing strategies
- Attending events such as exhibitions conferences and client visits
- Preparing sales presentations, producing reports for management
- Working with the marketing team to enhance advertising, business promotion, brand awareness, social media candidate attraction, and resourcing
- Coach, mentor, develop, and train consultants who can learn from your client meetings visits which will help the company have a uniform approach when dealing with clients and candidates
- To work closely with the Recruitment team leader to support their day-to-day approach to key actions and responsibilities, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring when required.
- Working closely with the resourcing and compliance teams to understand and support demand and capability.
- To be responsible for a consistent and sustainable supply of candidates and the ability for upscaling
- To be aware of changes in the industry via your relationships and to communicate these to the senior management team along with strategic plans for diversification.
This role is a key appointment for the agency, you will be a conduit that runs through each part of the business. You must be organised, articulate, and presentable, and have the drive and hunger to propel the business forward to bigger and better things.
