Assitant Branch Manager – Eudcation Recruitment – Nottingham
This is a position for an Assistant Branch Manager for an agency based in Nottingham city center
The agency supplies teachers and support staff to schools across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, and Leicestershire with this office being one of the leading agencies in the area.
The ideal person will be somebody that is very energetic, positive, and can seamlessly communicate to all levels.
There is currently a team of 6 in the office, you will be acting branch manager when the need arises.
You will be running a teaching desk (warm) which may be Primary, Secondary or SEND in conjunction with helping the branch manager support the sales, admin/compliance teams.
Ideally, you will be somebody looking to progress their career and who is open to being taught on the job, the branch manager wants somebody they can nurture and develop, it’s far more important that you have the right attitude over any particular management skills that can be taught.
The role has come about to relieve some of the workload the current manager and as such will be varied, hold a position of responsibility, and at the same time a learning experience.
Some of the duties and responsibilities included in this role:
- Conduct meetings both as a collective team and 121’s
- Help with any training and development, this will mainly be with new staff to the business and recruitment (Graduates)
- Responsible for safeguarding when the manager is out of the branch.
- Attend any “Teams” “Zooms” conference video calls this may be a regional meeting with other managers or with just the CEO
- Produce reports and forecasts.
- Liaise closely with the Branch manager giving them regular, and to-the-point updates.
- Report back any figures and updates
- Assume full manager’s responsibility when the manager is absent.

Although the role may appear daunting you will have a massive amount of support and be trained thoroughly in each area that you may oversee. The current manager is extremely approachable and knowledgeable having trained many people for various positions within the office.
There is a great culture in the office, some are new to recruitment others have been doing it for many years. One thing you will notice is that you will have the support of the office behind you, your job isn’t to crack the whip, but more to free up some time and pressure for the current manager.
